How the Solar System was Created
By Peter R.
Long, long ago, the god, Wadaa, was creating the universe by molding planets out of clay. Some of them were colorful, some were larger then others, but they all were round and filled with clay except for the Earth. Earth was smooth and hollow inside. Wadaa hadn't put Earth into orbit because it was still soft. Wadaa didn't put clay inside of the Earth because he used the clay for the other planets and he needed to find more.
Wadaa had a son, named Kono, who was always curious and liked to play with his father's creations. Kono looked very much like his father and was always molding small (big for us) rocks and throwing them at planets in orbit.
One day, Wadaa made a hole in Earth for the filling that he found in another universe. When Wadaa went to get the filling, Kono crawled into the hole and sat there quietly and soon fell asleep. When Wadaa returned he noticed that the inside no longer was so empty as it was before. He filled the hole and sent Earth out into orbit. Kono was so angry, and afraid that his father did that to him. Kono was so sad about dying that he began to cry. His tears were as big as a lake the size of The Great Salt Lake. These tears burst of canyons and made oceans, lakes, rivers and streams.
Kono was so angry that he started to push and shove. The more he shoved the more frustrated he became. Kono finally got so angry that he exploded. The force of the explosion made the surface of the earth transform with Mountains and canyons and bumps of all shorts. Wadaa heard a scream coming from the Earth and knew that it was his son.
Wadaa realized that his son had made Earth beautiful. Wadaa wanted to contribute to all the planets by sacrificing his life to make a sun so his son's planet would always be warm. Wadaa knew that his son would like to play with a friend so he took Kono's wolf and transformed it into a smaller planet that he called Moon. Every night they play and chase each other around. Wadaa transformed himself into a huge star, which he called Sun. He knew that his son would forgive him for his mistake. The name, Sun, reminded him of his son. Wadaa became happy and glowed yellow. It was more than any joy you can imagine. He jumped into orbit and glowed to make his son's planet live with new things and life. That is how the solar system was made.
