How The Leaves Got Green and the Trees are Brown

Long ago in the Hudson Vally ,there was a boy who wondered why the trees were gold and the leaves were red. Once he asked the wise woman of the valley. She said go to the top of the world. There you will find a shack. This is where Manitou lives. He makes the colors of the world. The boy walked out of the long house. Then went into his own and sat down to think about it. He thought he would go there. He packed his bag and started to leave. He walked past his mother cooking sweet potatoes for dinner over the small fire in a part of his long house. His Dad came home. His deerskin was thrown in the gales of wind. He yelled "I got a moose in the woods." The whole tribe got out of their wigwams and went to their woods. the boy started his journey. For days he walked up mountains, through grassy fields, through ice far far away. He finally got to the top of the world. He saw the shack that the wise old woman had told him about. He snuck inside, saw the switches for the trees and leaves and the Great Spirit sort of asleep. The boy said with great honor "Hello Great One." Then he went over and leaned against the panel which had all the switches. The boy asked "Why are the leaves red and the trees gold?" The spirit said "Do you want them a different color?" "Yes" the boy replied. He leaned harder and fell backwards and hit a golden knob that said "trees" that then turned to the color brown. The leaves switched from the color red to green. And that is how the leaves are green and the trees are brown. The End.

What my story is about is how the leaves became

green and the trees brown. My lesson of the story is to not fool with Mother Nature or else things, bad things may happen.
