The children have been doing a wonderful job in physical education class. We have been exercising, playing, socializing and smiling!!!! The activities in which the Kindergarten students have participated in so far this year are: We started off the school year with cooperative games. The children did a terrific job of working together and involving all of their classmates to reach a common goal. We have played many games such as:
- Cooperative Games
- Scooters
- Tumbling
- Ball Skills
- Pillo Polo
- Dance
The next unit the students participated in was our scooter unit. The children loved to be able to scoot faster then Ms. Thomas. We played many games in which the children had to use balls at the same time they were scooting. There favorite games on the scooters were:
- Stuck in the Mud
- Blob Tag
- What Time is it Ms. Fox?
- Cholesterol Creepies
- Many more.
The children then enjoyed our tumbling unit. They worked on their balance and strength. They understood the importance of their personal space and their classmates personal space. The children, also, enjoyed warming up to their favorite game snakes in the grass.

- Cops and Robbers and many more.
The children’s next unit was ball skills. Everyday they worked on throwing opposites, tracking the ball into their arms and opposites. The children enjoyed playing:
Pillo Polo was a challenging unit for many of the students. They quickly got the hang of staying low to the ground and keeping their hands apart to control the ball.

The children had a toe tapping good time during our dance unit. They understood the importance of listening to the beat of the music and cooperating with their classmates. The children understand that there are many forms of dances and the many reasons why people dance. It was wonderful to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they heard the music being played.
