I cannot believe
what Alice has to go through! It must be hard for Alice not
to tell anyone about her fear. Even though some parts of this
book are disturbing, it is still an enjoyable book to read.
I recommend this book to Middle School readers (like fifth
grade and up!)

It
is the summer between seventh and eighth grade, and Alice
is practically living at the pool with her friends.
The only thing that doesn't make the summer perfect is that
Alice has a big fear of deep water. She thinks she is
going to sink and die. But when she embarrasses herself
with her fear she doesn't think she can show her face to her
friends ever again. Will she overcome her fear?
Read Alice the Brave to find out!
