Artemis Fowl
is a mysterious and suspenseful book about a boy named Artemis
Fowl. Artemis is a boy prodigy who has an urge to prove to
the world that fairies live. Artemis finally finds a fairy
and captures her. Artemis tells the fairies that if they do
not give Artemis gold he will not give back Holly Short, the
fairy he captured. This book was a page turner and I never
put it down.

S. '10 This
is a story of a twelve-year-old genius whose criminal father
disappeared months ago.
Ever since, Artemis has wanted to carry on in his father's
place. Being a millionaire, with a bodyguard, he goes city-to-city
and finally comes to the place he is looking for and finds
a sprite, a magical creature related to fairies. He makes
a bargain with the sprite, which allows him to get a copy
of the fairy Book. The Book has all the
rules for fairies and creatures related to fairies, critical
rules for keeping their magic and powers.
Since
Artemis has finally gotten his hands on The Book, he
is now finally able to carry out his evil plan to capture
a real live fairy as his bargaining chip to real fairy gold!
No human has ever gotten possession of real fairy gold before,
and Artemis plans to be the first. Since The Book tells
where to find a fairy, and everything they must do, Artemis
thinks he knows what he is up against. Does he?

"Who is this Artemis Fowl?"
humans ask. This twelve-year-old boy could have caused
a crossed species war between the humans and us.
It all starts when Artemis gets the Book
of the People. He translates it to learn our habits.
"Why does he want to translate the book? And how
does he know fairies exist?" are the next two questions
we ask. Artemis reads about us on the Internet, not
really believing we exist. But when he gets the Book,
he knows we exist. He also reads in the Book that we own a
lot of gold. The gold will help to restore his family fortune.
Read the book to find out if Artemis' plan is successful.
I really like this book. It's funny
when Butler, Artemis' bodyguard, calls some sailors "babies"
and "mommy's boys" which makes them mad and they
attack Butler. It's sad when the troll is sent into
Artemis' house and he paralyzes Butler and tries to kill Butler's
sister. And I was really angry when Artemis takes one
of the fairies hostage because he wants the fairy to tell
him where the gold is when she doesn't even know.
