Betsy-Tacy is the first book in this series by Maud Hart
Lovelace. It is a series of ten books that goes through the life
of three best friends growing up in the late 1890's - early
1900's: Betsy, Tacy, and Tib. It is based on Maud's real life,
and the characters are based on real people in her life. Betsy-Tacy
is about Betsy as a 5 year old when she first meets shy Tacy.
Betsy and Tacy become the best of friends, and soon they meet Tib
and form an inseparable trio. These three have fun adventures, go
through elementary and high school together, and remain friends
forever in Deep Valley.
