Is this boy doomed forever?  David thinks he has a "curse" on him because of an old lady, Mrs. Bayfield.  His best friend, Scott, isn't his friend anymore because he makes friends with Roger and Randy, the meanest kids in the school.  They are the meanest kids because they steal the old lady's cane.  David goes along with Roger, Randy and Scott to prove he's their friend.  Then David starts making friends who are weird.  What happens to David in the school year?  Does the curse go away?  Read this great book to find out.
