Soren is a Barn owl, born in the forest of Tyto where only barn owls
live. But there is evil in the owl world that threatens all forest
kingdoms. Owls from many places are being snatched from their nest, and
being put into St. Aggies Academy for Orphaned Owls. But these owls
aren't orphans. And this orphanage isn't an orphanage. Soren knows it's
something much worse. He and his friend Glyfie must do something
incredible for a Barn owl and an Elf owl to do at such a young age. Fly
to escape. On the way to the Great Ga'Hoole tree, a legend that is true,
they meet Twilight, and Digger, both orphans, and all become friends.
This is the first book out of the series, and the story goes on in the
next book, The Journey.

This book is about
an owl named Soren who, a few months after birth, gets pushed out of his
nest by his big brother Kludd. He then gets captured by patrol owls from
St. Aegoulius Academy for orphaned owls. They take him back and while
they are flying he makes a friend named Gylfie. It tells about their
adventures at the Academy and how they escape.
I would recommend this
book to people who like adventure stories.
