A little boy and his
grandfather are waiting at an empty parking lot. They want a job because they need money.
The boy and grandfather find a job at Benjamin's Gardening. The owner of the store is
Ben. He takes them to a place where weeding needs to be done and leaves the little
boy and his grandfather at the field. Hours later Ben comes back and sees that they have
pulled out all of the flowers, not the weeds. The grandfather, a retired carpenter
who speaks no English, tries to make things right.
I would recommend this book for younger readers.
