This book is about a rich boy, Artemis, with a father who is in jail and who believes in fairies. Artemis has a huge bodyguard named Butler. With the help of Butler, Artemis tries to sell a magic fairy item, called the C Cube, that is 50 years too advanced for humans. He tries to sell it for a ton of money, but the entire deal is a set up and Artemis almost dies. His Butler jumps to take the bullets and ends up dying from the wounds. Artemis, being a genius, pushes him into the restaurant freezer where he remains until a fairy comes and brings Butler back to life. The fairy hopes to stop Artemis from selling the C Cube, but she is too late. Butler, Artemis, and the fairy set out to find the C Cube before humans find out about fairies.

Read the book to learn what happens. I recommend this book to boys because there is a lot of fighting. I like it because the story is original and complicated. I especially like science fantasy because it enables you to imagine all sort of cool things.

The Eternity Code, by Eoin Colfer is about Artemis Fowl. He builds a piece of equipment that is more advanced than anything the world has seen but it is stolen. The book is his journey to get it back.

I would recommend this book to anyone. The only problem is that you have to read the first two books in the series to understand what is going on.
