The book I read is about a 10 year old girl named
Abby. One day she comes home from school to find a surprise letter in
the mail. The letter is from her grandma Emma. Her grandma invites her
to come for a visit during spring break. This is the first time her
parents let her travel without them. Her cousin Cleo will also be
visiting her grandma. Abby would rather have her grandma to herself, but
decides it would be better to share her grandma then to not get to visit
her at all. During the visit Abby has to share a room with her cousin.
This will be a challenge since the girls are definitely total opposites.
The girls are not getting along very well during the visit. To make
things worse, they are assigned to be partners for the class project.
The project allows them to see how they view themselves and each other.
The story has a very positive and happy ending.
I rate this book a nine. I found the book to be amusing while at the
same time it taught a good lesson. I would recommend this book for girls
my age because it deal with issues that they have or will experience. I
would also recommend reading other books in this series.
