The Eye of
Eternity is
the second book in the Pyrates series. This book series is
about a boy named George Van Gelder and his friends, Derrick
Wilson, Shannon Starling, and Renee. In book one, George finds
a piece of a map which he believes will lead him to Captain
Kidd’s treasure. George and his friends follow the map
into secret underground tunnels. The group finds a journal
on their last trip underground. In the journal the boys find
clues about how to find the second piece of the treasure map.
In their journeys in the dark, misty, and mysterious underground
they encounter numerous booby traps. They must complete an
obstacle course and then they find a second map piece. The
tunnels are dangerous, and the boys find out that they are
not alone there. As they are walking through the tunnels,
George and Shannon get kidnapped by one of George’s
favorite next door neighbors. The boys find out that the thugs
who stay down underground are also looking for the treasure.
Will they escape, and will they get to the treasure?
I loved this book
as much as I loved the first
one. In fact, I already started the third
book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense,
action, adventure, and pirates.
