In this exciting sequel to
Return to the Island,
Mary receives an invitation to come visit her sister Angelique, who
has married Daniel Cunningham- in England. She agrees, though she has
never left the island to go so far in her life. While there, she is
swept into society and meets Lord James Lindsay, and befriends him.
Before long, they are very good friends, and many believe they will
marry. When James proposes, Mary doesn't know what to do. Her heart
cannot- or will not - answer the question. Then Mary is called home to
her ailing father- and it must be put aside for
a while. This was a wonderful sequel to
Once on this Island,
and I loved the suspense to keep you reading the series
