This is the third book in the Lost Years of Merlin series. The great dragon, Wings of Fire, who was put to sleep by Merlin’s grandfather, Tuatha, is now awake, because someone kills his offspring. He immediately accuses Merlin of the killing, because he is the grandson of Tuatha, his great rival. Merlin is called upon by the Sorceress of Dwarfs to help her save her race. Merlin is surprised and taken aback when he finds out his only hope is the Galator that he gave to Domanu, the hag. Merlin rushes to Domanu’s lair to find that the Galator is stolen. Merlin is on a journey to get his answers. Will he find out that Wings of Fire is a friend or a foe?

I rate this book a 10 out of 10. Mr. Barron builds up the suspense, and then lets it go at the very end to keep you wondering about what will happen in the next book.
