Max has a life as the laughing stock because his father was a murderer. He always thought he was stupid until "Freak" comes along. With "Freak" he finds out he is an extremely smart person and very courageous.

I liked this book because I could not put it down and it was really scary. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes scary but sad books because it is both of these combined.
