M. '11 This book is about
two people who are the same age as me. The girl in the book,
Claudia, runs away because she wants to find something different
about herself. Her brother Jamie comes with her because he has
a lot of money.
I recommend this book because it would be
cool to live in a museum.

D. '10 When
Claudia decides to run away from home, she plans very carefully.
She is going to run away long enough, so that her parents
will appreciate her more. She has everything planned,
right down to staying at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and
inviting her brother Jamie to go with her because he has so
much money. When they get to the museum, things do not
turn out as they had planned. Follow these two as they
have a full-length adventure as they discover the Italian Renaissance!
I would rate this book
a nine because there are only a couple of spots where the book
gets somewhat boring. This book is great because I really
enjoy adventure novels and it ranks as one of the best books
I have ever read. I hope you get a chance to read this
fabulous book!

From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
is about two kids who run away to downtown Manhattan . While
they are gone they live in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The
book is about their adventures there. One of their exploits
is trying to figure out if a statue is made by Michelanego or
not.
I recommend this book to people who like
reading about adventures. |

T. '09 This mysterious adventure
story is about Claudia and Jamie Kincaid. Claudia is unhappy.
She is the oldest child in her family, but her three
brothers get all the attention. So Claudia
thinks up a plan to live in a museum. She asks her brother
Jamie to help her because he has some money that he has
won in card games. She needs the money for
her plan to get into the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York
City. Claudia has to decide where they can sleep,
eat, shower and hide when the museum is opening and closing.
You'll have to read this book to find out how Mrs. Frankweiler
helps Claudia.

From the Mixed-up
Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
is about a 12 year-old girl named Claudia who does not
like her life at home. She decides to run away, but it is
not like the usual kind of running away because she already
knows where she is going: the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
She doesnt have a lot of money, so she decides to bring
along one of her brothers, Jamie. When they get to the museum,
life is not hard and it becomes fun when they go after a mystery
that could make headlines. I thought this book was OK. Sometimes
it was exciting but it got boring in some parts. There was
not enough build-up for the ending so it got kind of confusing.
