| Reviewer: Ashley B. '07 A Gift for Mama is about a
creative little girl, Sara, who always makes gifts for special occasions in her family; it
is a tradition. This year, Sara wants to be a grown-up and buy her mother a present for
Mothers Day. The present that Sara would like to buy is perfect for her mother - a
new pair of slippers, but they were way too much money. Sara is very good at sewing and
embroidery, so she decides to be a clothes doctor to earn more money. She tried many many
ways to earn the right amount.
I liked this book a lot because, just like One Hundred
Dresses, the main character in the book is very creative. I would rate A Gift for
Mama as an eight out of ten.
