| In this series of books there are brave
girls who help someone in some way. In the first book you meet Lian, a brave Chinese
girl who helps a unicorn escape from captivity. You also meet a fairy godmother's
assistant who helps a lot of people without magic. I really enjoy these books
because I'm tired of "damsels in distress" who are whisked off their feet by
Prince Charming. I like girl heroes! Spring 2002 |
