I read Grandpa's Teeth
for my short story book. This book is about a Grandfather who loses his
teeth. The family calls detectives and police to investigate. There is
no sign of his teeth and everyone is a suspect to him. Then the whole
town is smiling because they don't want to go to jail! Finally the
Mayor has a meeting and says that a smiling town that isn't happy can't
go on any longer. So the town has a fund where everyone puts in a
dollar so Grandpa can afford his teeth. In the end Grandpa's dog was
wearing them the whole time! This book is a very unrealistic but funny
book.

Grandpa has hand carved
teeth from one of the finest Swiss craftsmen. But he loses the teeth and he thinks
someone has stolen them. He does not know who has taken them. At the end of
the book the mayor gets him a new pair from the Swiss craftsman and he never
misplaces them again. I would recommend this book to children in 2nd or 3rd grade
who like mysteries and humor.
