Half magic
is a story about four children: Jane, Martha, Mark, and Katherine
who find a coin. They find a talisman grants them what they
wish for, but not completely! It turns out that you have to
wish for twice as much as you want to make a whole wish come
true! This way of wishing causes a whole lot of trouble for
the children. You'll be surprised at some of the wishes that
come true for them. Their wishes are not exactly what they had
hoped for!

Half Magic,
by Edward Lager, is about four children, named Jane, Mark, Martha,
and Katherine, who find a mysterious odd-looking coin. Shortly
after they discover the coin they find that it has magical powers
and will grant wishes. However, the children soon find that
the magical coin only gives out half of what is wished. Half
Magic tells about the four childrens' experiences with
this magical coin.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes exciting, action-filled
stories. On a scale of one to ten I would give Half Magic
a ten.

This book is about Jane, who is walking
on a path one boring, hot, and lazy day, and finds a coin. She
thinks the coin looked interesting, so she takes it home to her
brothers and sisters named Mark, Katherine, and Martha. Jane tells
them about it, and they all want to hold the coin. But, since
Jane is the oldest, she gets to hold it. In this book, it tells
you what happens to each of them, including their mother. For
example, what happens to the mom is when she is at a dinner party,
she leaves early and then her car breaks down. So then she wishes
that she was at home, and she gets only HALF way???
Read the book to see why. I would recommend
this book to anybody who likes funny books.

Half Magic by Edward Eager is about a group of kids
who find a magical coin that grants them wishes. It will give
them only half of what they wish. There are four kids in the
group and each one gets one wish.
In the book, the kids go to all different places. One of the kids gets a man that wants
to marry their mother, since their father died. Jane has one more wish and wishes that she
could see her father. The kids decide to put the coin back where they found it. A younger
girl picks up the coin and wishes for a baby.
If you want to find out where the children go on their adventures
and whether or not their mother gets married to the man, read
the book Half Magic
