'09 Helen Keller is both blind and deaf. It is
hard for her to communicate with others because she cannot speak, see, or hear. Helen's
teacher, Annie Sullivan, helps her get through many hard times. Annie teaches her
sign launguage and braille. Helen becomes a famous hero because she accomplishes her
goals with all of her disabilities. That is amazing when you consider the struggles she
goes through.

E. '07 Helen Keller is about a girl
who is blind and deaf. She is very ill-mannered because she can't see or hear. One day a
teacher, Annie Sullivan, comes to tutor Helen to become a better mannered person. Annie
becomes very close to Helen and teaches her to read Braille and to control her temper.
Helen soon learns how to talk and communicate with sign language. She becomes very smart
and is accepted at Radcliffe College. Helen learns how to do many things with her friend
Polly. She learns how to fly a plane and she gives speeches.
I think that Helen Keller is a good book to read
because it is about a blind and deaf girl and how she learns to talk, write, and read.
Read to find out how she became famous.
