This is a well-known book; it is the first book in the series of The Lord Of the Rings. Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit, a small little man that does his best to enjoy life. He is a very quiet man, until one day Gandalf the Grey knocks upon his door. Gandalf proposes to Bilbo a plan, a plan that will change the life of Simple Bilbo Baggins forever. Bilbo and a crew of a few dwarfs set off and search for the treasure that lies at the feet of Smaug the Dragon on the Lonely Mountain. Bilbo and the 13 dwarfs conquer many tasks and Bilbo receives a ring, a ring of power that sets up the LOTR. If you have seen the LOTR movies I think it is a good idea for you to read the classic tale of The Hobbit.

The is the first book before the first book in the series - The Lord of the Rings.

The Hobbit is about a young hobbit named, Bilbo Baggins, who wants to live a peaceful life in his cozy hobbit-hole, but some unexpected guests show up one day and he gets wound up in the adventure of his life. Bilbo meets creatures that are both evil and friendly, and ones he had never even dreamed about.

Does Bilbo return home from his frightening adventure?

If I could rate this book on a scale of 1-10 I would give this book a ten, because it is packed with excitement and adventure which is just the way I like it. I would recommend this book to people who like challenging, exciting, and adventurous books.

The Hobbit is about a Hobbit traveling with thirteen dwarves and a wizard to kill the dragon Smaug.  It starts when the wizard Gandalf meets the Hobbit Bilbo and asks Bilbo if he wants to be a burglar for a mission.  The next day, thirteen dwarves named Thorin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bombur, Dori, Nori, Oin, Gloin, Ori, Dwalin, Balin, and Bofur start on their journey. The 13 dwarves, Bilbo, and Gandalf continue on their journey to retrieve their lost treasure. They begin to climb a treacherous mountain where these mountain creatures throw rocks at each other at night. They get captured by goblins and are sent to the Great Goblin. Gandalf kills the Great Goblin and all the goblins get mad and throw them into jail.  As Bilbo escapes he runs into a reptile creature named Gollum, who has a ring of special power. Bilbo steals the ring and runs away.   Bilbo then leads the journey with his ring and knife until they reach the place where Smaug lived. They then battle Smaug and one last Goblin war.

Read this exciting and adventurous book!

A hobbit named Bilbo Baggins gets caught in the middle of an adventure that involves a wizard and about twelve other hobbits. They need to defeat a fire-breathing dragon in order to get back a kingdom the hobbits once owned. The hobbits are also hoping to find all the money that was once in that kingdom. The path they must follow to get to the kingdom is very long and dangerous.  But with the wizard's magic and some quick and smart ideas from Bilbo Baggins, they manage to survive.  You'll have to read the book to see if they defeat the nasty dragon.

This is an excellent book with so much excitement on every page. Once I started to read this book, I could not put it down

The Hobbit is a magical story about a dwarf-like creature named Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo is a hobbit. Hobbits like peace and quiet and a simple way of life. But this story is about a hobbit that didn't lead a simple life. Bilbo goes on many unexpected adventures with his thirteen friends. They are looking for gold that is being guarded by a dragon. An elf named Thorn wants to reclaim his family's treasure.

They all have countless adventures trying, at first to find the treasure then to claim the treasure. They meet goblins, elves, a half bear - half human, giant spiders, and many more exciting creatures along the way.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventures or fantasy.

The Hobbit is a story about a man named Bilbo Baggins. He likes where he is living until Gandalf, a magical wizard, decides that he should send Bilbo and some dwarves on an adventure to kill Smaug, a dangerous dragon. Bilbo doesn't want to go but the people persuade him to. Bilbo doesn't realize how badly it will work out. Read this story to find out what befalls Bilbo.

I liked this book . I thought it was really good. I liked it because it was full of action. I also liked the characters. Another good thing about it was that it was unpredictable. You have to read the ending to know what happens.
