If you are a girl
and have an older or younger sister, then you'll be able to
relate to the main character in this book. Jacob Have
I Loved is about a girl, Sara Louise who’s always
in Caroline, her twin sister’s shadow. It seems to Sara
Louise that everybody likes Caroline more because she’s
pretty and talented. Little do they know that Caroline steals
almost everything from Sara Louise, even her best and only
friend!

Sara Louise was born a few minutes before
her twin sister Caroline. Even though she did not remember
those moments when the spotlight was on her, she cherished
them. But now, Caroline was in the spotlight. At age thirteen,
Sara notices that Caroline has robbed everything from her.
Her hopes for schooling, her friends, even her name no longer
belongs to her. Secretly Sara is learning the ways of a water
boatman and is trying to get to the one thing Caroline cant
reach. Will she succeed?
