The book I read was Kate and the Bean Stalk written by Mary
Pope Osborne, Illustrated by Giselle. This book is a children's
book. It is about a poor women and her daughter who only have their
house and a cow. Kate, the daughter, is sent to sell the cow for
money so they can buy food. Instead she runs into a homeless man and
trades the cow for "Magic Beans." What will her mother say about
this? Read this wonderful book to find out what happens next.
I recommend this book to young children who have
just learned to read. From ages 7-10.
