The Kid Who Ran For President is a great book. It is about a boy, Judson Moon, who decides to run for President as a joke, but he soon realizes that he can actually win! His best friend, Lane, is his campaign manager. Lane is the smartest kid in their grade. Congress takes a vote and a new amendment is added to the Constitution that says you can be any age to run for President. In one of his debates Judson gives wrong answers thinking if he does not do well in the debate, people won’t vote for him; but that backfires, and the debate actually wins him votes.

I would recommend this book to a boy or a girl. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this book an 8. It has a twist ending that will really shock you.

Judson Moon is a normal kid in Madison, Wisconsin. His friend Lane Brainard had just moved there. They were watching Lane’s favorite show "Meet The Press" at Lane’s house and then Lane asks Judson if he wants to become President. Judd says no at first and then agrees. He picks Lane as his campaign manager, and June Syers as his running mate. In the beginning he only gets 1% of the votes. Then he started getting more votes. As the campaign wears on, someone leaks out that Judson broke into a classmate’s locker in 4th grade. Then he falls 10 % on the votes. He tells America he really did these things and he says he knows these things were wrong and that he is sorry. At the end he wins the electoral vote, and beats Senator Dunn and the President. Everyone is happy and parties. During the party he says he will quit the day after he became the President.

If you want to know what happened afterward, please see my next report on the book of The Kid Who Became President.

Judson Moon is kidding around about running for President of the United States, but everyone believes that he will.   But he is only 12 years old.  Everyone in his neighborhood and school helps him campaign.  In the mini election  he loses, but he beats the Green Party.   Does he win the major election?  Read the book to find out.

I liked The Kid That Ran For President because there were no boring parts. Everyone was always taking action. The story is about a boy who wants to run for president. His smart best friend leads him to be a representative for a new party ( the Lemonade Party). His final task is to beat the Republican and Democratic Parties.

The Kid Who Ran For President is one of the best books I have ever read. It is about a twelve-year-old boy named Judson Moon. Judson gets the crazy idea to run for president. Judd realizes that running for president is not the easiest thing. You need a party, (he later creates the Lemonade Party), a vice president, and most of all money. Can Judd pull it off? Can he actually become the president of the U.S.?

I recommend this book to any one who is interested in the presidential election with George W. Bush and Al Gore because it is fun to compare the two very different elections.
