Killing Mr. Griffin is a wonderful, tragic,
suspicious, suspenseful story - one of the
best that I've ever read. If you liked I Know What You Did Last
Summer, then you'll love this. This book has trickery at a very
high level. It's about David, the smart, funny, good looking senior;
Mark, the bully sophomore; Betsy, Marks girlfriend; and Susan, the
clueless freshman, smarter than all of them but has a crush on
David. They all have one thing in common though -- they all hate Mr.
Griffin. Mark has a greedy, awful plan but he needs Susan and David,
who are not his friends, to help. Betsy and Mark get
Susan involved by telling her that David will be there, knowing that
she likes him.
If I told you any more, you wouldn't have to
read it. This mysterious book says on the
back cover, "They only meant to scare their English
teacher...but not to kill him."
I recommend this book to anyone that doesn't get
sad easily, and isn't afraid of death. This is a great book and I
think you should read it. The story has a sudden twist at the end
and a suspenseful curve. Lois Duncan is a genius!
