Rating (out of 5): ****˝
This book is meant mainly as a
joke (which is implied by the title). If you read the letters and all
the other things that look like they were taped in you will get a vague
impression of what VFD is. The book is mostly pictures of “The Daily
Punctillo” and of letters that were sent to or by Lemony. It will also
explain some things from A Series of Unfortunate Events such as
the reason that Mr. Poe did not answer the telegram from the Buadelaries.
The answers to many questions you may have
are in this book but you will have to look for them in the letters and
transcripts. If you like thinking and solving mysteries you will love
this book because it will engage that part of your mind.
I would recommend this book to anyone who
has read some of the Series of Unfortunate Events and has
questions about Count Olaf, VFD, or the Buadelarie and Quagmire parents’
fate.
