This book contains twenty short stories
about different athletes, ranging from Babe Ruth to Jesse Owens. I like this book so much
because one minute you are reading about an athlete who is an Olympic swimmer and the next
you are reading a story about a Brazilian soccer player. Each story tells about the
personal lives of the athletes and why they are famous. Several stories explain how
some of the athletes deal with prejudice and racism. Another good quality the book
has is that it's not hard to interpret and understand. I would recommend this book
to 4th and 5th graders who like sports.
