This fantasy book
is about a 12 year old boy named, Emrys, and how he loses
his memory. All he remembers is being washed up on the beach.
He decides to go on a quest to find his past. The adventure
takes him to a lost island where he meets a girl named, Rhia.
Are they destined to save the island from evil King Stangmar?
Will his beautiful island, the talking trees, and his only
hope of his past be destroyed?
For anyone who
likes this genre of fantasy/historical fiction, the Merlin
series is a must! I've read only two and I've been sucked
into the magical mysteries of Merlin from his birth to his
death.

The Lost Years
of Merlin
is about a young boy who finds himself on the shores of Gwyyned.
Soon after his arrival he finds out he cannot remember where
he came from, how he got there, and his very name. He lives
his life in a small clay house with a mysterious woman who
claims to be his mother. His life is troubled by a bully.
His special powers have helped him and yet, make Merlin lose
something he would never expect to lose.
It is a long book,
but very good. It is a book with a lot of different characters
who will keep you interested until the very end. |

The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A.
Barron, is a story about Merlin, the wizard, when he is
a child. Merlin, who was then named Emrys, sets out to find
the place of his birth, a place far away, and to learn of
his forgotten past. On his journey, he meets a friend whom
he grows to love, a little giant, and a bird who will look
death in the eye and won't flinch - all while stopping an
evil sprit. The King of the magical land where he was born
has been taken over by the evil sprit, Rhita Gawr. Emrys
must stop them before they destroy the entire land.
I would rate this book a 7 because
it was suspenseful.

The Lost Years of Merlin is about a boy named Emrys
who one day mysteriously washes up on shore of an island called,
by some, Wales. A woman who claims to be his mother lives
with him. Then one day something goes wrong. A boy who is
always mean to Emrys starts to taunt him about having strangely
pointed ears. After a while Emrys starts to get really mad.
Then by accident Emrys starts a fire right on top of the boy.
In trying to save the boy from death Emrys loses the ability
to see! After a while Emrys gets something called second sight.
Then he decides to go on a journey across the sea. When he
sets out he doesn't know where he's going to end up. Finally
he arrives on...Sorry you have to read the book to find out
what exciting adventures await Emrys!
