L. '10 Mandy is a ten-year-old girl that has been in the orphanage
since she was young. During Mandy's hard life, she finds a
cottage in the woods that is the one thing she can call
her own. She gardens and cleans at the cottage. She would
do anything for the cottage even if it means lieing to her
best friend or to the Matron, who is the orphanage owner --
but how long can she keep this a secret?
Everything's going well, but when she
finds out she has a secret admirer things start to change.
Read about Mandy's ups and downs in this wonderful book by
Julie Andrew Edwards.
This book contains many things adventurous
and suspenseful, with a different perspective on life.

Z. '09 Mandy is an orphan who wants to find her own little spot.
One day she finds a tiny cottage on the other side of the
orphanage wall. She loves it there so much because she can
be all by herself. But someone else finds it, too. During
a big storm, everyone is trying to find Mandy. She is
in the cottage and she's very sick. Only one person
knows where she is, but doesn't want to give away the secret.
Will they find Mandy in time? I like this book because
Julie Edwards is a very detailed writer. I recommend this
book to anyone who likes adventures.
