Marlfox is part of a series about animals that are good and evil. The good animals try to destroy the evil ones, and vice-versa.  Many animals live in a famous place called Redwall Abbey.  There are creatures called Marlfoxes. Each one of them carries a battle-axe which is said to be magic.  They have a giant army of water rats under their command. The marlfoxes come from a strange lake that is south of Redwall Abbey. Eventually they find the Abbey and start to attack it. Will they breach the Abbey’s defenses? Read this book to find out!
