Title:  The Mystery of Mr. Nice:  From the Tattered Casebook of Chet Gecko, Private Eye
Author:  Bruce Hale
Reviewer:   Andrew L. ‘08
The Mystery of Mr. Nice is about Chet Gecko, private eye. Chet is a fourth grade lizard that is very good at solving cases. In this story, Chet must find out why the principal is being really nice to him, because the "real" principal would never be nice to Chet. After investigating, Chet uncovers a sinister plot. This evil and vicious scheme will ruin the lives of every student of Emerson Hicky Elementary School. Will he be able to save everyone in time? This was really a GREAT book! All of the characters are animals and that makes it hilarious. I rate The Mystery of Mr. Nice a ten and recommend it to all of my classmates. My brother recommended it to me. I was skeptical about taking the advice of a third grader, but I’m glad I did. If you read The Mystery of Mr. Nice, you will be, too!
