The Name of the Game Was Murder, by Joan
Lowery Nixon, is a story about Samantha Burns, who goes to visit her
Aunt Thea, and ends up in the middle of a murder mystery. The owner of
the house, Augustus Trevor has written a manuscript showing flaws in
other people's lives. So he invites five guests over to play a game if
they find the manuscript using the clues he has written for them,
their story will be erased from the manuscript. On the night that
everybody arrives, Augustus is murdered. When I read this book I never
wanted to put it down, because I always wanted to know if another set
of clues were found.
