This book is about a boy named Wallace who always, no matter what, tells the truth, but sometimes that gets him in a lot of trouble. That is just what happens when he reads the book "Old Shep, My Pal," and hates it. One thing leads to another, and soon he finds himself kicked off of the football team, and stuck with two months of hanging out with the cast of the school play (which, by coincidence is of "Old Shep, My Pal"). Later on in the story, Wallace needs to choose who to be friends with -- the football heroes, or the school play geeks; but after he is framed for vandalizing the play, it looks like nobody wants to be his friend.

This was a really great story for anybody. I really loved the plot because it is just the story of a high school boy, but there was lots of mystery and suspense woven into it.

No More Dead Dogs is a great book about a boy, named Wallace Wallace, who is the star on the football team. Wallace has never told a lie since he was a little boy, and can’t start now! When Wallace writes his book review on Old Shep, My Pal, he says it was the most boring book in the world. The dog always dies. From that his grade becomes an incomplete!

The school play that year happens to be Old Shep, My Pal. For detention Mr. Fogleman decides to have Wallace banned from football and coming to the rehearsals until he does an exceptional rewrite. Wallace starts to help the cast and almost starts to enjoy being with the drama freaks. But when someone starts attacking the rehearsals, shredding scripts, and pepper bombing everyone, Wallace gets blamed. He was the one who hated Old Shep, My Pal in the first place anyway, right?
