| Reviewer: Pat H. '09 Robert is a little boy who doesn't like math. He often
has dreams of being eaten by a fish or sliding down a never ending slide, but he suddenly
finds himself in a dream with a number devil. This number devil starts teaching Robert
basic and advanced math. Though at first their relationship is slow, Robert begins
to like this new dream. Is this too good to be true?
In this book not only does Robert learn new math skills,
but so does the reader. Be careful though. In The Number Devil they
use strange words, such as rutabagas, which is their language for square roots.

Maura M. '08 The Number Devil is about a boy whose dreams are real. The boy,
Robert, is not very good in math but one night a number devil shows up in his dream and
changes his life. Then a few weeks fly by fast and Robert makes a new friend. He becomes a
lot better in math. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys math or is not very
good at math.

| Reviewer: Vince M. '08 The Number Devil was about a kid who had bad dreams, and
didnt do well in math. Then the number devil appeared in his dreams and taught him
math and he became a lot better in math. The book was so good that it made me want to
finish it in one day. It kept me on the edge of my chair. It was suspenseful and it kept
leading from one thing to another. It was a good book and I would encourage many people to
read it. You can find it in the school library.
