The book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a
very sad and depressing book. It's about two different
neighborhoods: the rich neighborhood, where the Socs live, and
the poorer neighborhood, where the Greasers live. In this book the
Socs for fun get drunk and then go out and jump Greasers. The main
character Ponyboy (it even says that on his birth certificate) goes
through the death of his best friends.
I personally liked this book, but I would
recommend this book to people who don't cry easily and who do like
violent books and depressing books. You will be surprised who wrote
this book. Hope you like it!!!!!!!

| Reviewer: Tyler R. '09 The Outsiders is a great book about
gangs and their problems in New York. A gang of kids called the Greasers don't have
much money at all. The Socs are known for having a lot of money. They are
always trying to jump the Greasers. Pony Boy is a Greaser who has to deal with
death. He runs away and goes through a lot of changes in this very powerful story.
