When Perloo, a timid member of the rabbit-like Montmers, is summoned by the Granter of the tribe in the middle of a blizzard, he is very unhappy. But when she names Perloo the new Granter in place of her enraged son, he is nothing short of terrified. Perloo must rely on his wits and the courage he never even knew he had, to save not only himself, but also the future of the entire Montmer tribe.

Perloo the Bold is an exciting fantasy adventure. Like Brian Jacques in the "Redwall" series, Avi creates a world of believable and unique animal creatures, and tells a fast-paced and involving story.
