Author:  Patricia Reilly Giff
Reviewed by: Lauren B . '13

Hollis Woods is abandoned in the city of  Hollis Woods which is why they named her that. Hollis has been in a lot of  foster homes, but she is always "returned" because of the responsibility of caring for her. The  Regan family is the first one to acccept Hollis. But Hollis runs away to Josie's house.  Josie is an artist. Hollis is also a great artist and wants to be one when she grows up. The only problem is that Josie is getting very old and she is losing her memory. She can barely remember who Hollis is! If anyone finds out that Hollis is staying with Josie, they will take Hollis  back to the foster home and Josie will have to go to a nursing home. To find out what happens to Hollis
and Josie, read this wonderful book!
