"De Fawg Pin" is what he calls himself. A boy is turned into a frog by a hag. His life is completely changed. All of the other frogs think he is weird because he doesn't eat bugs, he feet get tangled when he jumps, and he doesn't know frogs from toads. He goes on dangerous and fun adventures.  If you want to know if he ever turns back into a boy again you'll have to read it to find out. I would recommend this book to anyone at all.

The book the Prince of the Pond is about a frog who is very weird. He calls himself De Fawg Pin, and he doesn’t know a frog from a toad. He doesn’t like to eat insects. Luckily, he meets a women frog and they become friends. She teaches him how to jump, croak, and swim. He says that his tongue is attached in the wrong place so he can’t say, "lll, shhh, rrr ,zzz ,sss," or "thhh." They go on many adventures, and Pin always is doing something very unfroglike. For example, one time Pin jumped on a water snake’s head. Another time he got on a snapping turtle’s back, and another time he pulled off the hag’s nose. Pin learns many new things, and the woman frog learns many things about Pin.

Read the book to learn about all their adventures together. If I were to rate this book on a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 10 because it had lots of funny parts and I couldn’t put it down. I recommend this book to people who like reading love stories and like to read about frogs.

The Prince of the Pond by Donna Jo Napoli is a fantastic book that you can’t put down! It’s about a prince who is turned into a frog by a hag. He calls himself, "De Fawg Pin." No one who lives in the pond has ever seen such a disabled frog before. His feet get tangled when he jumps, he refuses to eat any kind of bug, and he cannot tell a toad from a frog! He doesn’t realize how hard it is to survive when you’re a frog. He makes many mistakes that could get him killed. All he needs is a kiss from a princess and that will turn him back into a human.

Will "De Fawg Pin" ever get kissed? Will he survive? Read this great book The Prince of the Pond by Donna Jo Napoli to find out!
