Carly L. '09 Mia Thermopolis is a freshman and the tallest
girl in her school. She's very clumsy and awkward. When her grandmother from her
dad's side comes to town to talk to her, she finds out that she is going to be the
Princess of Genovia. She really, really does not want to be a princess, but her
parents and her grandma want her to become one. She goes through princess lessons
and then when the people in her school find out, it turns into a total mess!
This book is really good for girls. It
is very exciting and if you are reading it at night, no matter how tired you are, you just
have to turn the page and read another. That's how good it is.

Kelly K. '09 Mia Thermopolis lives in Manhattan. Her parents are divorced,
although she still sees both of them a lot. Mia's mom has to go for a
conference with Mr. Gianini, Mia's algebra teacher. When her mom gets home
from the conference, she tells Mia she has a date with Mr.Gianini. Mia doesn't like
having her mom date her teacher. She thinks it is too awkward having her mom date the
teacher of the class that she is flunking. And then one day when Mia gets home from
school, her mom tells her that her father and grandmother are coming over from
Genovia. Mia's father decides to have tea in the plaza with Mia. He tells his
daughter that he is the Prince of Genovia and that Mia is the princess to the
throne. He also mentions that she will have to take princess lessons with her
grandmother. Mia cries so hard because she doesn't want to become the Princess of
Genovia, but ...
You will have to read this book to find out what happens next!
