Mia Thermopolis is a young girl who has  just found out she is a princess. Her parents got divorced when she was little, and now her mother is getting re-married to her algebra teacher. If you enjoyed the movie Princess Diaries then you will enjoy this book.

Summer 2003

Mia's mother is getting married and Mia thinks it will ruin her life.  She is marrying one of the teachers in Mia's school and Mia is afraid she will be teased about it.  She also thinks her best friend,  Lilly,  is keeping secrets from her.  There are a lot of problems Mia has to solve.  She has to spend so much time with her grandmother taking princess lessons that she doesn't have any time to spend with her friends.  You can read  this great book,  written in diary form,  to find out what happens to Mia. 

Spring 2002

In this sequel to The Princess Diaries,  Mia Thermopilos is now flunking algebra and after her mom starts dating her algebra teacher, many interesting things start to happen.  First, her mom finds out that she is pregnant and Mia totally flips out. Then Mia finds out that she has a secret admirer and she thinks that it's her best friend's older brother (whom she totally adores).  When she finds out that it's not him, she is really disappointed.  But the question is, who is it?  You will just have to read the book to find out!
