This book is the fourth
book in a series called the Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. These books
are about a teenaged girl named Mia Thremopolis who is growing up in New
York City. When she is 15, her grandmother comes half way around the
world to tell her that she is the heir to the thrown of Genovia, a small
European country. Mia's life changes drastically because she has to give
up all of her free time to have princess lessons with her bossy
grandmere. I like these books because Mia just seems like normal
girl, going through a lot in her life (not that it's very normal to be a
princess). I would recommend these books to girls in fifth grade and up
because they are definitely books that boys wouldn’t really enjoy, and
younger kids might not really understand them.
