Eleanor of Aquitaine has been impatiently waiting
in heaven to be reunited with her second husband, Henry II. She
reminisces with her friends about her life, and they create a
beautiful story of a proud woman, Eleanor of Aquitaine. It begins with
her marriage to Louis, King of France, and her two children, Marie and
Alix. Then comes the Second Crusade, and her divorce from Louis.
There are intervals after each person is done as they talk in heaven,
and
then go on to the next part of her life until it is
time for the
judgment. Eleanor had a huge part in this era of
history, and
this is a very exciting, historical, novel.
