When the words,
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” pop
up you know that you’re watching a Star Wars Movie.
On May 19th, that saga will conclude with Star Wars III Revenge
of the Sith. But, if you can’t wait that long then read
the book Star Wars III Revenge of the Sith by Patricia
Wrede, or read this review!
A Jedi Master named
Obi Wan Kenobi and his friend Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker
go on a mission to save the Chancellor from the evil clutches
of half droid/half human, General Grievous. Anakin meets up
with an old foe, a Sith Lord by the name of Count Dooku, and
Anakin kills him in a lightsaber fight. The two Jedi escape
with Palpatine, but Grievous escapes and lands on Utapau.
When Anakin returns though, he goes to his secret wife Padme
Ammidala, and finds out that she will be having a baby. Anakin
has a bad dream that Padme will die giving birth, and thinks
it will come true. Padme reassures him that she won’t
die, but Anakin is still nervous. Obi Wan must go on a mission
to destroy General Grievous, and Yoda must go to Kashyyyk
(yes, 3 y’s!) to mount a defense for the Wookies, tall,
strong, furry creatures that could snap your back like a toothpick.
Before they leave though, they get suspicious of the Chancellor
and ask Anakin to spy on Palpatine. When Palpatine puts Anakin
on the Jedi Council, they do not grant him the rank of master.
When Anakin is with the Chancellor, he finds out that Palpatine
is a Sith Lord by the name of Darth Sidious. Anakin tells
the council, and the best 4 Jedi (besides Yoda and Obi Wan)
prepare to arrest the Chancellor. None of them can match up
to Sidious’s knowledge of The Force, and all die. Anakin
then makes a choice that affects the entire Galaxy. He decides
to join the Sith. To find out the ending to this historic
saga, read the book, see the movie, or if necessary, do both.
