It is now 1818, and Mary's beloved father is now
dead. She
delights in spending time with Renard, or Red Fox,
Jacques' son. Her sister-in-law, Little Cloud, is a sweet person, and
Angelique now has a baby boy called Matthew, after Papa. Mary works
hard on the farm, and cherishes her time with White Hawk, for he is
often called away to his tribe's councils. One day, James arrives, and
asks Mary once again for her hand in marriage- but White Hawk loves
her as well. She must discover what her heart wants before
she can reply. A suspenseful ending novel, it is
exciting and
adventurous -- a great book that you can't put
down.
