This book is first in a series of three books. It's about Han Solo's twin children, Jacen and Jaina. They, along with their father, make a trip to Ord Mantell so Han can perform his duties as Grand Marshall for the Blockade Runners Derby. While Han and his kids are taking the test run of the course, they run into a cluster of space mines and almost get blown up. But Jacen and Jaina's quick thinking and Jedi reflexes are what saves them. After the test run is over, Han goes back to the skies to retrieve debris of the mines as evidence. While Jacen and Jaina go over the evidence with their friends, strange chameleon-like creatures steal the debris. While the twins and their friends fight off the creatures with their lightsabers, a young woman joins them in the battle. Unfortunately the creatures get all of the evidence. After the battle the young woman claims that Han killed her father. Her name is Anja. She challenges all of them to go to her home planet of Anobis to try and stop the war there. What will they do?
