Title:  A Rose for Melinda
Author:  Lurlene McDaniel

A Rose for Melinda is a great book!  It is about a girl named Melinda who gets cancer and is only 13.  She has to take chemo, and that makes her hair fall out.  Fortunately, she recovers. Unfortunately, one year later she is back in the hospital.  Since chemo didnšt work, the doctors try a new idea, but it is very risky. Either you die from this treatment or become cancer-free the rest of your life.  Will the new idea work on Melinda?  How does her family feel about this?  Read this excellent book to find out!!!!

This book is so good you canšt put it down!  The story is written in the form of a diary, with entries by Melinda, Melinda's mom (Elana), and Melinda's best friend (Bailey).  I would recommend this book to everyone.  It really makes you think about your own life.  Overall, I'd rate this book a perfect 10!!!!
