One of the books I read this summer is The Secret Life of Amanda K. Woods by Ann Cameron. Amanda Woods used to be the main character's name but she changes, or adds to, her name. She changes it to Amanda K. Woods to make it more confident and strong. This book is mainly about how Amanda changes her life in little ways which lead to larger ways. Amanda lives next to a little lake which is right outside of the little town called Rome where she goes to school. Amanda wants to change he life because it feels so boring and bland. Also she doesn't even know who she really is. I recommend this book to people that like to read stories about how your life changes with decisions.

The Secret Life of Amanda K. Woods is about a little girl who lives in Rome, Wisconsin. This book tells about the events she goes through in a period of two years. Some good things happen and some bad things. Amanda is a sweet girl who is sort of shy.

In the beginning of the book, if her sister made fun of her or teased her she wouldn’t do anything about it; but towards the end, she started to stand up for herself.

I would recommend this book to whoever likes sad kinds of books and very exciting books.
