| In The Secret Window, a
girl named Meg has powers that no one knows about, even her own family. She has a special
"window" that looks into the future. Sometimes what she sees is good, like when
she saw her older brother, Bill, win a college scholarship. Other times it is terrifying,
like when she saw that her father was leaving the family. But then Rhoda, Megs new
neighbor comes and helps out. After Bill decides to get a job instead of using the
scholarship, Rhoda makes him regret his decision. One of the more unhappy things that her
"window" reveals is that Gracie, her best friend, is leaving her for a more
sophisticated crowd. What else does Meg see? Read The Secret Window to
find out. Fall 2000 |
