When Lyf was just a child she caught vermilion fever. Kaeldra, her older stepsister, has green eyes, which gives her the power to talk to dragons. To save Lyf’s life, Kaeldra brings Lyf dragon’s milk. Lyf lives, thanks to Kaeldra’s help, but her eyes that were once a deep brown turn bright green. Ever since then she has had to go into hiding to keep dragon hunters from taking her away and using her to find the dragon’s home.

Now the last of the dragon eggs are hatching, and to keep them away from the dragonslayers, Lyf must help. Yet to save the last of the dragons, Lyf must leave behind her pampered lifestyle, which could mean giving away her very life!
